Okinawan Festival, Honolulu Hawaii

The Okinawan Festival is always held on Labor Day weekend at Kapiolani Park. 2013 marks the 31th Okinawan Festival!! Saturday features a bon dance in the evening. Park your car at Kapi’olani Community College and catch the shuttle down to the park (pick up is at the bus stop by the chapel on Monserrat/Diamond Head Road)

Attracting more than 50,000 visitors annually, the Okinawan Festival has become the premiere annual event of the Hawaii United Okinawa Association. Proceeds from the Festival support the HUOA’s mission of preserving, promoting and sharing the Okinawan culture. The Okinawan Festival is the largest ethnic festival in the Hawaiian Islands
